About GJD

GJD is founded on the idea that we are all part of the same big family, and as such, we look out for each other. Many of our nonprofit brothers and sisters share this belief, and work toward building that feeling and community.

Since 2000, GJD has been serving as a strategic arm of the family. You’re working for community and social change, and we provide the technology to help you get your message across more effectively. We can help with strategy, content management systems, graphic design – or any or all of these.

Team

Margaux O'Malley, Principal

Margaux is the chief strategist at GJD, the one who helps organizations take their big picture and transform it into an effective and actionable website. She is good with Drupal on a technical level, too, but the part of her job that she really loves is working directly with other people to form a plan.

Her background is in Latin American Studies and Spanish. She studied at Carleton College (including their affiliated programs in Morelia, México and San José, Costa Rica), and did independent research in Buenos Aires, Argentina, focused on the Madres de Plaza de Mayo.

Professionally, she’s been involved with the community of Drupal developers in Argentina (Buenos Aires, Córdoba and Rosario). She is interested in the general spread of open source technology as a tool for social change in Latin America. In particular she's keen on Drupal, since it handles multilingual websites well.

When she’s not working, you’re likely to find her knitting, biking, practicing yoga, playing fiddle, or some combination thereof.

Matthew O'Malley, Chief Technical Officer

Matthew knows a ton about how Drupal works. He’s good at building solid websites, and also at translating his knowledge into English for non-techies. He’s a great teacher.

Together with Margaux, he founded GJD back in 2000, and has been developing websites for social change since then.

He loves to play music with friends and family. His first instrument was fiddle, and he later learned guitar, mandolin and ukulele. And he sings too! He also loves to read, and to be outdoors doing pretty much anything.

Campbell Maloney, Creative Director

Campbell has been designing and programming websites since 1995. He founded blueunderground in 1999 to bring together his sense of design with his degree in marketing. His artwork and product designs have been featured in various exhibitions and magazines, and covered on HGTV. Campbell’s dedication to a complete and highly recognizable web presence results in lasting relationships with clients. His strength lies in the combination of superior design skills and the ability to program quick-loading websites and other multimedia applications for various browsers with high search engine standings.
